چکیده
We present the first experimental demonstration of coherent perfect absorption (CPA) in an integrated device. By leveraging the effects of CPA, phase-controlled modulation is achieved in a silicon photonic ring-resonator with an extinction of 8.12dB. OCIS codes: 130.0130, 030.1670, 060.1810, 130.3120

The New Design and Simulation of an Optical Add Drop Filter Based On Hexagonal Photonic Crystal Single Ring Race Track Resonator
In this paper, using annular resonator we have designed an adding and dropping filter light based ontwo-dimensional photonic crystals. The shape of ring resonator filter adding and dropping that wehave proposed is Race Track. This filter has a hexagonal lattice structure of silicon bars withrefractive index 3/46 that is located in the context of air with refractive index 1. Transmissionefficien...

We present the first experimental demonstration of coherent perfect absorption (CPA) in an integrated device using a silicon racetrack resonator at telecommunication wavelengths. Absorption in the racetrack is achieved by Si+-ion-implantation, allowing for phase controllable amplitude modulation at the resonant wavelength. The device is measured to have an extinction of 24.5 dB and a...

In this paper, a new design of demultiplexer based on two-dimensional photonic crystal ringresonator is proposed. The structure is made of a hexagonal lattice of silicon rods with therefractive index 3.46 in coefficient of air with refractive index 1. The transmission efficiencyand Quality factor for our proposed demultiplexer, respectively, are more than 65% and1600. The normalized transmissio...
متن کاملAnalytical model for coherent perfect absorption in one-dimensional photonic structures.
Coherent perfect absorption (CPA) is the phenomenon where a linear system with low intrinsic loss strongly absorbs two incident beams but only weakly absorbs either beam when incident separately. We present an analytical model that captures the relevant physics of CPA in one-dimensional photonic structures. This model elucidates an absorption-mediated interference effect that underlies CPA-an e...
متن کاملAdd-Drop and Channel-Drop Optical Filters Based on Photonic Crystal Ring Resonators
Here, we propose an add-drop and a channel drop filter based on two-dimensional photonic crystal all circular ring resonators. These structures are made of a square lattice of silicon rods with the refractive index n1=3.464 surrounded by air (with refractive index n2=1). The broadest photonic band gap occurs at the filling ratio of r/a = 0.17. Two linear defect W1 waveguides couple to the ring....
